Waitress - Xenia Bar

Job description

Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain is looking for a Waitress for Xenia Bar. The role handles day-to-day service alongside waiters and bartenders, from food pick-up and table service to clearing tables, refilling stations and serving drinks.

The waitress is the link between back of house and front of house, looks after specific stations in the bar and makes sure every guest is welcomed and looked after from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities

• Take and serve guest orders promptly according to the service manual, including information on daily specials, soups and drinks
• Explain menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods to guests when asked
• Welcome every guest with a smile, eye contact and a friendly greeting, using the guest name where possible
• Listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns and requests
• Inform customers about order alternatives and encourage sales of targeted services
• Maintain the stations and the bar and act as the communication point between back of house and front of house
• Support the hostess and other team members when required and pass guest feedback to management
• Hand over any belongings left by customers to the supervisor
• Comply with the F&B Department instructions, procedures and operational rules
• Attend orientation training and work the weekly schedule set by the Food and Beverage Manager
