Job description

Bahrain Surf Park is hiring a Runner, the operational link between the kitchen pass and bar and the guest dining tables. You make sure food and drinks are delivered hot, fresh and without delay, and support the waiting staff by clearing and resetting tables, keeping service stations stocked and dining areas clean. The role reports to the Head Waiter.

This is an entry-level position suited to someone with up to one year of hospitality, restaurant or customer support experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport prepared dishes from the kitchen pass and drinks from the bar to guest tables quickly and safely
• Verify food orders against ticket specs at the kitchen pass before delivery
• Serve dishes to the correct table seat numbers courteously
• Clear used crockery, cutlery and glassware using proper tray techniques
• Wipe down, sanitize and reset tables and chairs within target times
• Keep side stations stocked with clean cutlery, polished glassware, ice, carafes and napkins
• Keep the kitchen pass and tray drop-off points clean
• Assist waiters at peak times with water service, bread service and general guest assistance
• Follow safety and hygiene guidelines on hot plates, tray balance and floor cleanliness

Requirements

• High School Certificate or equivalent
• Food Handler / Food Safety certification
• Basic English communication skills
• 0 to 1 year of experience in hospitality, restaurant service or customer support; runner or busser experience is an advantage
• Good physical stamina, speed and agility, and able to carry heavy food trays and beverage loads safely
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, weekends and holidays
