Lake Lifeguard

Job description

Bahrain Surf Park is looking for a Lifeguard to supervise all surf zones, including the surf lake, its surroundings, pools and access areas. You will carry out water rescues, administer first aid, enforce the park's safety rules and support guests in distress, in and out of the water. After training you will also operate the wave generation system for wave programming and session control. The role reports to the Head of Lifeguards and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all surf zones, including the surf lake, its surroundings, pools and access areas
• Conduct water rescues efficiently and safely according to operational protocols
• Administer first aid and coordinate with emergency medical services when needed
• Monitor guest behavior and enforce surf park safety rules to prevent accidents
• Support guests in distress or requiring assistance both in and out of the water
• Operate the wave generation system for wave programming and session control after training
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate safety documentation
• Maintain the readiness of rescue, safety and first aid equipment
• Participate in ongoing training sessions, drills and safety reviews

Requirements

• Valid and up-to-date Lifeguard and First Aid certifications (specific qualifications to be confirmed with local authorities or Royal Life Saving Bahrain)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a beach, surf park or waterpark lifeguard (or equivalent)
• Excellent swimming ability, strong physical condition and confidence in a surf or wave environment
• Calm and professional response under pressure with quick decision-making
• Fluent English (B2 minimum); Arabic is a strong asset
• Committed to early mornings, later nights, weekends and holidays when the site is busiest
