Bartender

Job description

Bahrain Surf Park is hiring a Bartender to craft and serve a range of refreshing beverages, signature cocktails, mocktails, fresh juices and specialty coffees for guests. You will give fast, friendly service at the bar counter, maintain stock levels and keep bar stations spotless.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, mocktails, juices and coffees to standard recipes.
• Welcome guests at the bar counter, take drink and food orders and offer beverage recommendations.
• Garnish every drink properly and serve it in the correct, polished glassware.
• Enter all beverage orders into the POS system before preparation and handle cash, card and digital payments accurately.
• Prepare fruit garnishes and house syrups, fill ice wells and restock speed rails before service.
• Monitor daily stock of beverages, mixers, ice and disposables and request restocks.
• Keep the bar counter, pour mats, blender stations and draft taps clean and sanitized.
• Wash, sanitize and polish glassware in line with hygiene standards.
• Work with barbacks, fellow bartenders and front-of-house colleagues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; bartending / mixology certification is a plus.
• Food handler / food safety certification.
• Fluent English speaker; Arabic is an advantage.
• 1-2 years of bartending experience in a busy bar, beach club, resort or high-volume restaurant.
• Experience with cocktail preparation, barista operations and POS bar terminals.
• Knowledge of drink recipes, free-pour techniques and beverage presentation.
• Speed, accuracy and multitasking in high-volume environments.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, weekends and holidays.
