FHI 360 Bangladesh is hiring a STRIDES Technical Director to lead and direct the technical focus areas of the STRengthening Infectious disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) Activity, a U.S. government funded Global Health Security programme that supports national laboratory, surveillance and emergency response capacities. Reporting to the STRIDES Project Director, the Technical Director aligns technical frameworks, tools and activities with national guidelines and technical standards, works closely with technical leads and the MEL and program management teams, and is accountable for delivering all technical aspects and reporting of the Activity on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. The position is contingent upon funding from the U.S. Department of State. Up to 30 percent local and regional travel is required.

• Serve as STRIDES technical lead and key point of contact on technical topics
• Provide technical direction for country workplans and budgets aligned with STRIDES objectives, USG priorities and global technical standards
• Ensure workplans, reports and success stories are developed, submitted and approved on schedule and within budget
• Ensure technical activities comply with the STRIDES contract, government regulations, quality standards and FHI 360 policies
• Respond to client requests on technical matters and prepare timely submissions of consents, approvals and waivers
• Collaborate with the MEL Advisor and Project Director on technical indicators and progress reporting
• Assess subcontractor performance on technical activities and direct adjustments
• Represent STRIDES at global health security events and technical working group meetings
• Supervise technical staff and support their performance management and professional development

যোগ্যতা

• Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Microbiology, Infectious Disease, Laboratory Science, Health Systems Strengthening or a related field
• Minimum 12 years of relevant technical and project management experience, including 8+ years of leadership or line management
• Project Management certification or PhD in Public Health preferred
• Prior work with MoHP, MoALD and their departments, and with an international NGO, preferred
• Prior experience implementing USG-funded contracts strongly preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of global health security concepts, practices and policies
• Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills in English
• Proven ability to meet budgets, schedules and performance requirements
