icddr,b is hiring a Physician for Dhaka Hospital under Clinical and Diagnostic Services (Re-adv#151/2026). Dhaka Hospital was established in 1962 to treat patients, particularly children, with severe diarrhoeal disease, and now treats around 200,000 patients a year. Reporting to the Head of Hospital, the Physician supports clinical fellows in their learning, conducts clinical rounds for patient management, takes part in clinical research and reports issues to senior physicians. The contract is a CSA of 11 months with a possibility of extension subject to funding and performance. icddr,b charges no fee at any stage of recruitment. দায়িত্ব

• Perform detailed patient evaluations, including physical examination and clinical history documentation
• Execute treatment plans and medication orders under senior doctor or unit in-charge supervision
• Follow predefined protocols to review patient responses to interventions
• Participate in rotational roster duty for round-the-clock patient coverage and respond to emergencies as part of the Code Blue team
• Maintain accurate medical charts, progress notes, diagnoses and medication orders in the SHEBA system
• Report serious adverse events and adverse drug reactions per hospital policy
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff and join clinical audits, infection control and quality improvement initiatives
• Join senior doctors on grand rounds and mentor clinical fellows
• Support clinical research: eligibility assessment, consent, patient history recording and data reporting

যোগ্যতা

• MBBS from a Medical College recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council, with one-year internship completed
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a reputed hospital, excluding internship
• Preference for candidates who completed clinical fellowship training at icddr,b
• Preference for a postgraduate degree in Paediatrics (FCPS, MD, MRCPCH, DCH), Medicine or Public Health (MPH)
