Technical Team Lead

Job description

Avanceon is seeking an experienced, hands-on Technical Team Lead in its Qatar office to lead the development and delivery of enterprise software solutions in Industrial Automation, Smart City, GIS and Digital Transformation. The role manages a team of developers, drives sprint execution, ensures code quality, performs technical reviews and delivers solutions aligned with project requirements and timelines.

The position reports to the Technical Manager and translates business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring adherence to development standards, Agile practices and delivery commitments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor software development team members
• Assign, monitor and track development tasks and sprint deliverables
• Participate in effort estimation, sprint planning, backlog grooming and release planning
• Support the Technical Manager in resource planning and project execution
• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET Core / .NET, ReactJS, REST APIs and SQL Server
• Perform technical design reviews, code reviews and troubleshooting
• Drive Agile and Scrum practices and manage sprint activities using JIRA
• Coordinate with the .NET team, Tableau/BI developers, database teams and client integration teams
• Support integration with enterprise systems, GIS platforms, SCADA systems and third-party applications
• Promote AI-assisted approaches for coding, testing, documentation and troubleshooting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 7+ years of software development experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading software development teams
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Web 3.5, ASP.NET Core / .NET, ReactJS, REST API development and SQL Server
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, JIRA and GitHub
• Experience conducting code reviews and technical design reviews
• Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT
• Preferred: knowledge of Tableau, Power BI and reporting platforms; familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
