Job description

PEPOLTek is an IT company based in Dhaka building a portfolio of SaaS products used across education, HR and enterprise operations, including BIDYATek (a school management platform), an Intelligent HR Solution (a cloud-based HRMS) and an Enterprise ERP suite for supply chain and financial operations. The company is building out a Technology Governance and Delivery function to run technology strategy, technical standards and software delivery across multiple business units, spanning architecture, SOPs, quality and information security, and is hiring a Vice President, Technology to lead it. Responsibilities

• Set technology direction: work with business unit heads to understand requirements, recommend solutions and align technology initiatives with business priorities and budgets
• Own technical governance: define and enforce standards for architecture, coding, documentation and technology selection across all assigned units
• Standardize how software gets built: develop and review SOPs for development, project management, QA, deployment, maintenance and technical support, backed by training, monitoring and audits
• Oversee delivery and quality: track progress, timelines, resource use and KPIs for software quality, reliability and productivity, with testing, code review and security practices in place
• Unblock engineering teams: work with project managers, developers, QA engineers and DevOps to resolve technical challenges
• Drive improvement and report upward: find automation and integration opportunities, evaluate emerging technologies and give the CTO and senior management regular performance, risk and improvement reports

Requirements

• 10 years in software or IT, including 5+ years in senior technology leadership
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Proven record leading multiple teams or products, delivering through technical leads and project managers
• Strong command of the SDLC, architecture, QA, DevOps and information security practices
• Experience building SOPs and governance frameworks that teams actually follow
• Executive-level communication, able to present risk, performance and budget trade-offs to senior management
• Nice to have: Master's degree (MBA or a technology discipline); marketplace or e-commerce experience; experience overseeing several software teams or business units at once
