Senior Android Developer - Kotlin Multiplatform & AI Coding

M365Consult is hiring a Senior Mobile App Developer with strong Kotlin Multiplatform expertise and native Android experience for a team building a mobile application that combines real-world interactions with location and proximity technologies. The team uses AI coding tools and autonomous coding agents to accelerate development. Hands-on engineering role that also includes mentoring a junior team member learning to build Android apps through AI-assisted development. 100% remote, full-time, long-term position; start as soon as possible after selection and agreement; salary based on experience, technical expertise and level of responsibility. The remote setup includes a time-tracking tool that records mouse-click and keyboard-activity metrics and captures screenshots; applicants should be comfortable with it. Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve the Android application using Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform
• Design shared application logic and integrate it with platform-specific functionality
• Implement and troubleshoot location and proximity features involving GPS, BLE, UWB and related device capabilities
• Address mobile challenges such as permissions, background execution, battery consumption, connectivity and device differences
• Use AI coding assistants and coding agents extensively to implement features, investigate defects, refactor code and support testing
• Set up and improve agentic development workflows, including task decomposition, project context, automated checks and review processes
• Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security and performance
• Test on real devices and resolve problems that automated tests alone may not reveal
• Mentor a junior team member through demonstrations and pair programming, and document important technical decisions

Requirements

• Demonstrated senior-level experience delivering and maintaining production Android applications with Kotlin
• Strong practical experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, including shared code and platform-specific integrations
• Solid understanding of Android architecture, Jetpack Compose, coroutines, Flow, application lifecycle and state management
• Strong debugging skills across application code, APIs and device behavior
• Substantial hands-on experience using AI coding tools to deliver working software and interest in agentic coding
• Ability to assess AI-generated solutions critically and to teach less experienced team members clearly
• Ability to work independently and communicate progress in a remote team; availability to start promptly
• Especially valuable: GPS, BLE, UWB, NFC and proximity detection experience; automated workflows combining coding agents with human oversight
