Senior Mobile & Platform Engineer - iOS/Android, KMP & DevOps

M365Consult is hiring a Senior Mobile & Platform Engineer to work across Android and iOS, contribute to the Kotlin Multiplatform architecture and support dedicated developers on both platforms. The main focus is enabling the team to deliver: resolving technical challenges, maintaining shared components, improving development workflows and managing the backend and infrastructure behind the application; depending on suitability the role may include technical team leadership. Strong GitHub, GitHub Actions and runner-management experience is essential. 100% remote, full-time, long-term position; start as soon as possible after selection and agreement; salary based on experience, technical expertise and level of responsibility. The remote setup includes a time-tracking tool that records mouse-click and keyboard-activity metrics and captures screenshots; applicants should be comfortable with it. Responsibilities

• Support Android and iOS developers with technical decisions, debugging, code reviews and integration challenges
• Develop and maintain shared application logic using Kotlin Multiplatform, and contribute to native Android and iOS work where needed
• Maintain a clear architecture across mobile applications, backend services, APIs and databases
• Develop and maintain backend functionality and server-side integrations
• Manage database changes, investigate data issues and maintain reliable migration, backup and recovery processes
• Build and improve CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, and configure and troubleshoot GitHub runners including self-hosted runners
• Manage server-side deployments, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting
• Establish AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows and review AI-generated code
• Where appropriate, act as technical team lead: coordinate dependencies, guide implementation and help the team resolve blockers

Requirements

• Demonstrated senior-level experience in mobile software development
• Strong Kotlin and Android experience together with practical Swift and iOS experience
• Solid hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and integrating shared code into both mobile platforms
• Practical backend development experience and understanding of API design, authentication and application security
• Strong SQL and relational database experience, including schema changes, migrations and performance troubleshooting
• Hands-on DevOps experience with Linux servers, application deployment, configuration and troubleshooting
• Excellent Git and GitHub knowledge, and strong experience with GitHub Actions and GitHub runners
• Substantial experience using AI coding assistants and coding agents to deliver working software
• Clear communication and documentation skills; ability to work independently while supporting other developers
