Team Lead - Operation Quality

Job description

Hitachi Energy is hiring a Team Lead - Operation Quality for its business in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role is about delivering world-class quality and driving improvements on gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) assembly and testing.

As an experienced professional you will lead a team of quality engineers and technicians, own operations and incoming quality processes, and work across departments on non-conformances, audits and supplier quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of quality engineers and technicians in a high-quality manufacturing or assembly environment
• Plan and implement team development and deliver on performance goals
• Arrange and perform shop floor quality checks of product, incoming material, production and testing processes
• Own process development, procedures, templates and work instructions for operations and incoming quality
• Work with all departments on deviation detection, non-conformance follow-up, root cause analysis, corrective measures and continuous improvement
• Support resolution of quality issues from the GIS assembly line or site and follow up NCR improvement actions
• Take part in internal and external audits (ISO, Hitachi Energy, customer) and close findings
• Implement and monitor the quality strategy for materials, customer complaints and processes using quality KPIs
• Perform failure analysis and 8D reports while sustaining a safe environment through HSE requirements
• Monitor supplier quality performance and corrective actions for NCRs, CCRPs and suppliers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8-10 years of experience in GIS products, quality control or assurance is preferred
• Experience resolving HV site non-conformances
• Hands-on experience in material inspection, ISO 9001, process or product auditing, QMS and internal quality auditing is preferred
• Sound problem solving, planning and prioritizing; a team player
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
