Associate Project Manager

Job description

ABB is hiring an Associate Project Manager for its Automation Business Area, Process Industries Division, Mining & Materials Business Line, working primarily in Saudi Arabia and extending to other GCC countries. The main stakeholders are mining and cement manufacturers, and the role reports to the ME Operation Manager.

You will lead the execution of extra small, small and medium projects, applying project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks, coordinating with stakeholders and delivering contracted deliverables. The work model is hybrid, split between site and the ABB office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team allocated to the project
• Prepare BOMs and support procurement
• Monitor and control project progress, resource utilization and project financials
• Identify, qualify, quantify and manage project risk, and ensure opportunities are identified and pursued
• Drive formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and acknowledgment by the customer, in accordance with the contract

Requirements

• Skilled with project management tools and methodologies in automation and electrical engineering projects in the process industries sector
• 5 years of experience in project engineering, associate project management or project management
• Enhanced knowledge of project scheduling, progress monitoring and procurement tools
• Risk assessment and opportunity capture
• Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics or Automation Engineering
• At ease communicating in Arabic / English
• Preferably PMP certification
