Senior Sales Engineer, Fire Systems

Job description

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support its Fire Protection and Security Systems business in Oman. Based in Oman, the engineer joins the Sales-Contracting team (Oil & Gas) and combines technical understanding with sales execution to develop opportunities, shape customer solutions and support tendering and bidding for fire protection, fire detection, fire and gas, and security systems in the oil and gas sector.

The role also covers pre-qualification and vendor registration work with end users, consultants and contractors, and building long-term customer relationships with a focus on territory growth and repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, pursue and close new sales opportunities across Oman
• Prepare competitive, high-quality proposals that address customer requirements, project scope and commercial expectations
• Support tendering and bidding activities through technical and commercial coordination with internal stakeholders
• Position Johnson Controls through strong knowledge of fire protection, fire detection, fire and gas, and security systems
• Use market awareness to understand competitor offerings and respond effectively during the sales cycle
• Support pre-qualification and vendor registration with end users, consultants, contractors and customers, including registrations, approvals and compliance requirements such as AVME, ROP and PACDA
• Organise and lead product presentations, technical workshops and company profile sessions
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with a focus on territory growth and repeat business
• Work closely with engineering, sales and contracting teams on solution design, customer engagement and deal progression

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Proven track record of delivering sales targets in Oman, with a focus on fire and gas, fire protection and security systems for the oil and gas industry
• Ability to design technical solutions, select equipment and advise customers on the best-fit solution
• Sound business and technical knowledge
• Fluent English language skills
• Valid Oman driving licence
