Network Security Engineer

Job description

CCDS, an end-to-end information technology and next-generation cybersecurity services provider for enterprises, is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer for a one-year, project-based contract in Sohar, Oman. The role is full-time and on-site, and covers configuring, managing and troubleshooting enterprise network security solutions, with a focus on Palo Alto and Fortinet products.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage and troubleshoot enterprise network security solutions
• Administer and optimise Palo Alto and Fortinet security products
• Monitor network performance, security events and potential threats
• Implement firewall policies, VPNs, routing, switching and access-control rules
• Investigate network and security incidents and provide timely resolutions
• Perform system upgrades, security hardening and configuration reviews
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational reports
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors and customers to meet service requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven professional experience in network security engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and security solutions
• Solid experience with Fortinet technologies
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, network protocols and firewall management
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work full-time and on-site in Sohar, Oman
• Mandatory certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Fortinet NSE 7
