Mechanic

Job description

The Mechanic carries out preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel's mechanical equipment and systems at Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl-Qatar, as part of the Engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel mechanical equipment and systems
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, generators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and other mechanical machinery
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and mechanical breakdowns throughout the hotel
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential faults and prevent equipment failures
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of mechanical components as required
• Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good working condition
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with hotel standards
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report major faults to the Engineering Supervisor

Requirements

• Technical qualification or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Mechanic, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial property
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, machinery, and basic HVAC equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out repairs effectively
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and workplace safety procedures
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English; Arabic is an asset
