Electrician

Job description

The Electrician assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools at Element West Bay Doha, and inspects and diagnoses malfunctioning equipment and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures
• Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning tools, equipment, electrical systems, and components
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
• Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
• Test batteries in generators, emergency lighting, etc.
• Read and follow blueprints and schematics
• Respond to repair requests and perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and appliances
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
• Driver's License
