Job description
The General Electrician carries out preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel's electrical systems and equipment at Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl-Qatar, as part of the Engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel's electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, wiring, lighting, sockets, switches, and distribution boards
- Attend to electrical maintenance requests in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and back-of-house areas
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure all electrical systems are safe and in good working condition
- Perform electrical installations, repairs, and minor improvement works as required
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and follow hotel safety procedures
Requirements
- Technical qualification or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, motors, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Good knowledge of electrical safety standards and preventive maintenance
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English; Arabic is an asset
