Foreman, Assembly

Job description

Hitachi Energy is hiring a Foreman - Assembly in Dammam. You will assemble GIS components and modules into complete bays and perform routine tests on a lean, flow-based production line, targeting the best quality, maximum cost saving and shortest delivery time, while controlling the quality of the GIS.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, repair and routine tests (mechanical, 10kV, HV, functional and resistance measurements) of GIS bays, including components and modules, according to work instructions, drawings, bills of materials and checklists
• Fulfil order-related work packages according to production data and instructions
• Self-check work package results and complete and confirm checklists and protocols
• Target the best performance in quality, cost and delivery time
• Handle factory equipment and tools properly, maintain test equipment and keep calibration up to date
• Control quality and escalate quality issues immediately, recording deviations, supporting root cause analysis and writing non-conformance reports
• Gather product improvement feedback from local service centre engineers
• Support teamwork and communicate and collaborate with assembly, testing and logistics colleagues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• 4-5 years of experience in a production facility (assembly and testing)
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and material lists
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
• Understanding of lean concepts and minimising the seven wastes
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
