Construction Superintendent (Piping)

Job description

Mekdam Technical Services is hiring a Construction Superintendent (Piping) for a project based in Sohar, Oman. The role is a piping supervisory position on large offshore decks, topsides and living quarters, covering spool fabrication and installation and piping completions.

The posting asks for a Diploma, 8 years of experience in a piping supervisory position, experience with multinational teams, and experience with exotic, GRE, carbon steel and CRA clad piping systems.

Requirements

• Diploma
• 8 years of experience of large offshore decks, topsides or living quarters in a piping supervisory position
• Experience with multinational teams
• Experience of exotic, GRE and carbon steel piping systems
• Good working knowledge of industry standard work practices and codes and standards
• Experience of spool fabrication and installation
• Experience of piping completions: line walks, hydrotesting, flushing and drying, re-instatement and flange management
• CRA clad piping experience
• Ability to handle site problems and an excellent track record in construction safety
• Good communication skills
• Familiar with design standards, specifications, codes and safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution and hook-up
• Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities
