SGS is looking for a Wet Chemist / Wet Chem Technician for its Jeddah laboratory. The role performs wet chemical analysis of samples accurately and efficiently using approved methods, and operates laboratory instruments including AAS, ICP, UV, LECO and XRF to support testing.

Candidates should have at least two years of hands-on laboratory experience in wet chemistry, with practical AAS and ICP experience a priority, and a good understanding of laboratory procedures, quality control and safety.

• Perform wet chemical analysis of samples accurately and efficiently, following approved testing methods and laboratory procedures
• Operate laboratory instruments including AAS, ICP, UV, LECO and XRF
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report instrument faults or maintenance needs to the supervisor
• Follow quality control procedures, maintain accurate laboratory records and report non-conformities
• Prepare, handle and label laboratory solutions and standards correctly
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, use PPE properly and comply with safety, hygiene and QHSE requirements
• Monitor laboratory supplies and report shortages or operational issues
• Support daily laboratory operations to deliver timely, reliable and accurate test results

যোগ্যতা

• A Chemistry-related qualification is preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant laboratory experience
• Hands-on experience in wet chemical analysis
• Practical experience with AAS and ICP is a priority
• Experience with UV, LECO and XRF is an advantage
• Good understanding of laboratory procedures, quality control and safety requirements
• Good communication skills
