Veolia, a global leader in resource management with a workforce of about 179,000, runs the Sulaibiya Wastewater Treatment & Reclamation Plant in Jahra, Kuwait, an ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) water reclamation facility operated by Veolia Water Technologies. Veolia is hiring a Maintenance Mechanical who reports to the Mechanical Field Engineer and helps maintain and repair the mechanical equipment in the UF/RO plant to keep it efficient and reliable. Shift work and on-call duty may be required.

দায়িত্ব

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in the UF/RO facility
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and operating defects and make repairs
• Assist with plant modification works under the Mechanical Field Engineer
• Report the status of maintenance activities to the Mechanical Field Engineer
• Prepare tools, materials and work areas for maintenance tasks, following all safety rules
• Coordinate with the operations team to minimise equipment downtime
• Analyse routine checks and mechanical parameters to spot potential faults
• Replace and install specified parts and make adjustments under supervision
• Follow EHS and quality procedures and check job sites for hazards
• Keep good housekeeping in plant facilities
• Be available for shift work and on-call duty

যোগ্যতা

• Minimum diploma in a mechanical field
• 1-3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a water treatment, power or manufacturing plant
• Basic hands-on experience with pumps, compressors and blowers
• Written and spoken English
• Basic MS Office knowledge
• Able to work in a team and follow supervisors' instructions
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
