Veolia, a global leader in resource management with a workforce of about 179,000, runs the Sulaibiya Wastewater Treatment & Reclamation Plant in Jahra, Kuwait, an ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) water reclamation facility operated by Veolia Water Technologies. Veolia is hiring a Control Room Operator responsible for the safe and smooth operation of the UF/RO reclamation plant. Working shifts in the operations team with the process leader, the operator monitors the UF/RO system and plant utilities, evaluates process and plant conditions, reports findings and makes process control decisions in coordination with the process leader.

দায়িত্ব

• Review process control through inspection of systems, plant records, technical data, operating reports and trends
• Investigate, diagnose, report and recommend corrections for abnormalities in the UF/RO system, process or utilities
• Escalate operational observations and coordinate strategies with the Field Service Lead or manager
• Report shift activities to the Field Service Lead and operations manager
• Isolate equipment with LOTO devices to create safe work areas and authorise work to start
• Measure UF skid turbidity and RO vessel conductivity and keep records
• Do routine plant walk-rounds to catch anomalies early
• Monitor static and rotating equipment and initiate maintenance
• Work closely with the client's control room operators
• Plan chemical preparation, review chemical usage and doses, and perform lab and water analysis
• Monitor process parameters, online instruments and system performance through the plant automation system
• Keep the shift log book and daily logs (CIP, chemical refill, daily analysis)
• Follow plant EHS procedures for hazardous chemicals, confined space, spill control, LOTO and emergencies
• Write reports on process control operations for management

যোগ্যতা

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or equivalent (other combinations of experience and education may be considered)
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a wastewater treatment and reclamation plant
• Proven experience with UF and RO membrane technology
• Experience with plant automation systems such as DCS, SCADA and PLC
• Knowledge of plant safety and EHS
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
• Desirable: experience in large water treatment, chemical, oil & gas or power plants, and in small teams
