Veolia, a global leader in resource management with a workforce of about 179,000, runs the Sulaibiya Wastewater Treatment & Reclamation Plant in Jahra, Kuwait, an ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) water reclamation facility operated by Veolia Water Technologies. Veolia is hiring a Field Technician (Instrument) to carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the plant's instrumentation under the guidance of senior technicians. On-call availability and shift work on various schedules may be required.

দায়িত্ব

• Carry out preventive maintenance on all instruments in the UF/RO facility under supervision
• Support senior technicians in troubleshooting malfunctions and operating defects
• Assist in instrumentation-related plant modification works
• Replace and install specified parts and make adjustments
• Support emergency repairs when required
• Maintain and organise tools and carry out regular tool inspections
• Support the warehouse/store keeper with spare parts inventory
• Assist in developing operational quality procedures and documents for water treatment
• Follow EHS and quality procedures and report job site hazards
• Keep good housekeeping and wear the right PPE
• Help document and record maintenance activities and prepare materials for maintenance work
• Take part in technical training programmes

যোগ্যতা

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronics or Instrumentation & Control, or ITI / 2-year instrument trade certificate
• Minimum 6 years of experience (3 years for diploma holders, 8 years for ITI technicians), with at least 2 years of maintenance work, preferably in water/wastewater, desalination, RO, power, petroleum, chemical or continuous process industries
• Able to read, write and speak English
• Good knowledge of automation concepts
• Able to repair and calibrate all online process instruments
• Able to read P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams and JB / control panel wiring diagrams
• Proficient in basic MS Office
• Able to work with minimum supervision, with good interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to safety
• Desirable: water/wastewater plant experience, GCC work experience, PLC/SCADA knowledge
