This role covers the resources and logistics needed to perform services and maintenance on customers’ sites, maintaining, repairing and refurbishing GE Vernova Power Conversion & Storage products, mainly electrical rotating machines (synchronous and induction motors and generators) and excitation systems. It includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial). The Lead Field Services Engineer is accountable for the quality of their own work and works within a well-defined operations framework.

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, refurbishment, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrading of synchronous and induction machines and excitation and AVR systems
• Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services
• Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives on installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer sites
• Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, and prepare job status reports, customer reports, timesheets and expense sheets in a timely and thorough way
• Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites
• Maintain a strong safety mindset so the work meets technical requirements within GE safety standards
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and as a reference for future outages

যোগ্যতা

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 5 years of field maintenance experience with electrical motors and generators
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time, as required
• Preferred: valid driver’s license, ability to work with minimum supervision, strong customer service mindset, prior field services and project management experience
