Fire Assay Technician

SGS is hiring a Fire Assay Technician for a laboratory in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. The technician performs routine analytical techniques under established Fire Assay procedures and reports to the Fire Assay Shift Supervisor.

The role suits someone with at least a year in a similar position who understands lead fusion methods, sample preparation and wet chemistry procedures, and who can work safely with minimal supervision. English skills are mandatory.

দায়িত্ব

• Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of samples throughout the complete analysis of Fire Assay samples
• Maintain lead fusion equipment daily
• Submit quality samples of silver beads to the Wet Chem Laboratory
• Follow all analytical methods according to instructions
• Report all accidents and incidents to the supervisor or management and work safely at all times
• Take an active part in all shift activities requested by supervisors to meet customer needs
• Report necessary maintenance work to keep operations running normally
• Keep the work area clean and contribute to regular cleaning and maintenance
• Help maintain proper record keeping and document control systems
• Maintain good relationships with client personnel, relevant government authorities and community assemblies

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience in a similar position
• Able to work under minimal supervision
• Understanding of lead fusion methods and sample type recognition
• Understanding of sample preparation and Wet Chem procedures
• Able to perform all lead fusion operations
• English skills are mandatory
