BRAC International (BI) is seeking a Deputy Manager, Finance and Accounts for the finance and accounts team of BRAC International Holdings B.V. (BIHBV), based in Dhaka. The role works closely with the Lead, Financial Reporting, the Finance Controller and the Finance Manager to run the day-to-day operational accounting of a portfolio of BIHBV entities, including bookkeeping, financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, monitoring, compliance, external audit and payments/payroll. The post offers broad exposure to a mission-focused microfinance organisation operating across eight countries in Africa and Asia, and significant opportunity to travel to the countries of operation. This position is local to Bangladesh, so only Bangladeshi nationals are encouraged to apply.

• Work as the focal person for BIHBV, BIFBV, BIHBV Kenya and an assigned portfolio of BIHBV entities and countries
• Post transactions for the holding companies and reconcile them
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely submission of audit requirements, with regular reconciliation of general ledger, bank, intercompany and subsidiary ledger accounts
• Support country finance teams in monthly closing and guide them on accounting entries and IFRS
• Reconcile transactions against the management information system (MIS) and financial information
• Make sure investor and donor financial reports are submitted on time and that financial covenants are monitored
• Drive process improvements, including standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and dashboards
• Gather, summarise and present data on financial status and risks for management
• Issue invoices for management service fees to countries and support reconciliation of related-entity payables and receivables
• Help country finance teams finalise annual external audits and any government or regulatory audits

যোগ্যতা

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounts from a reputed institution
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting function, such as with a commercial organisation
• Experience with the finance module of ERP systems
• Experience working in or with emerging or frontier markets
• Experience in a financial institution, particularly an MFI, is an added advantage
• Experience in a reputed Chartered Accountancy firm, with CA CC and Part I completed, is an added advantage
• Knowledge of accounting standards and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Strong research, analysis and data-gathering skills and good English communication
• Flexibility for international travel and for working from a distant location
