UI Engineer

Job description

01 Systems is looking for a UI Engineer to collaborate with product leadership, design, software architecture and other cross-functional teams to develop user interfaces aligned with evolving product goals, write front-end code, build reusable components and templates, and ensure responsive behaviour across desktop, tablet and mobile. Based in Manama, Bahrain.

Responsibilities

• Develop user interfaces aligned with evolving product goals
• Create website and application design mock-ups and rapid prototypes
• Write front-end code and develop the application user interface
• Develop reusable components and templates and guide development teams on consistent UI
• Ensure front-end code works responsively across desktop, tablet and mobile
• Research design innovations and emerging browser capabilities
• Support the pre-sales team with mock-ups and content for demos

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Web Design or a related field
• 3+ years of professional experience as a UI Engineer developing web applications
• In-depth knowledge of user interface models, application design and website functionality
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular and Vue
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Code and Git
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Figma, XD, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is desirable
