Technical Services Specialist

Job description

Abbott is hiring a Technical Services Specialist for its Core Diagnostics business, based in Riyadh. This is an experienced individual-contributor role in medical device field service, working under limited supervision.

The specialist analyses product implementations and modifications against customer specifications, troubleshoots technical problems, recommends solutions to Abbott and customer representatives, and acts as Abbott's on-site representative inside customer organisations.

Responsibilities

• Apply subject-matter knowledge in medical device field service
• Perform technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements according to customer specifications
• Troubleshoot technical problems and determine solutions in line with product and customer specifications
• Recommend actions to Abbott or customer representatives for a coordinated product solution
• Assess product needs against customer specifications
• Conduct technical training and product briefings with customers, vendors and company representatives
• Act as the local on-site representative to the customer's organisation members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering
• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) licence
