Structures Supervisor

Job description

Galfar Engineering & Contracting is recruiting a Structures Supervisor for its infrastructure projects in Muscat. The supervisor runs day-to-day site execution of structural works, directs manpower and machinery, and reports progress and safety performance.

The role suits a civil diploma holder with hands-on experience of reinforced concrete structures such as bridges, culverts and retaining walls.

Responsibilities

• Execute structure works at site as per the drawings and the scheduled plan
• Supervise the works and ensure they are executed in line with the specification and quality requirements
• Assign work to skilled and unskilled manpower and machinery, and arrange the required materials as per the day's plan
• Prepare daily programs, update site progress against projections and report daily
• Hold daily meetings with workers to maintain productivity and train them on QHSE requirements
• Track and maintain records of site progress as part of daily activity
• Analyse the drawings and interact with the Sr Engineer for clarifications
• Measure the performance of workers and equipment against the organisation's norms
• Implement and maintain safety standards at work locations

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering
• 5-7 years of experience in structural excavation, backfilling, scaffolding, shuttering, reinforcement fixing and concreting of reinforced concrete structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls and protection works
