Planning Manager

Galfar Engineering & Contracting is recruiting a Planning Manager for its infrastructure projects in Muscat. The manager prepares and updates the project baseline schedule in Primavera P6, monitors actual cost against budget, supports time extension claims and reports project status to the client, consultant and management.

The role suits a senior civil engineer with 12-15 years of relevant planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update the project baseline schedule in P-6 and its revisions, with supporting documents for submission to the client / consultant
• Review schedule revisions and updates with the consultant / client for approval
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for the consultant, client and management on project status
• Prepare the supporting documents (impact schedule or similar) required for time extension claims to be submitted to the contracts department
• Prepare master budgets and revisions for the project under guidance of the Project Manager / Director with assistance from the cost controller
• Monitor actual cost against budget daily and monthly and report variance analysis and mitigation plans to the project manager
• Prepare, update, monitor and revise the business plan under guidance of the Project Manager and submit it to the Unit Head for review
• Maintain the project resource database and prepare monthly rolling projections for manpower and equipment through the ERP
• Compile the daily progress report and submit it to the project manager and unit head
• Prepare, maintain and update the project documents required for corporate QHSE audits and attend the auditor when audits are scheduled

Requirements

• B.E. (Civil Engineering)
