Senior Structural Engineer

Job description

AECOM is looking for a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, construction and infrastructure projects. The candidate should have strong experience working with engineering consultancy firms and be capable of managing structural design, site activities and technical coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee structural engineering activities across construction and infrastructure projects
• Review structural designs, drawings, calculations, specifications and technical submissions
• Ensure structural works comply with approved designs, project specifications and relevant standards
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants and other disciplines to resolve technical issues
• Conduct site inspections and monitor structural construction activities
• Review and approve method statements, material submittals and shop drawings
• Monitor quality and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Provide technical guidance and support to the structural engineering team
• Identify and resolve structural design and construction issues
• Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations to project management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and construction projects
• Strong experience in structural design, construction and site supervision
• Previous experience working with engineering consultancy firms is required
• Experience in large-scale construction and infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of structural codes, standards, specifications and construction practices
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration is required
• Saudi/GCC project experience is preferred
