Job description
AECOM Middle East is looking for an experienced Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer for its Manama office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, analysis and delivery of water, wastewater and sanitary water drainage infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary environment.
The role suits a chartered civil engineer with 12 to 15 years of experience in water infrastructure engineering. Candidates with experience in Bahrain must hold the required CRPEP registration.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyse water supply, wastewater and foul sewer drainage networks
- Perform hydraulic modelling using Bentley WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS
- Prepare engineering calculations, design drawings, technical reports and specifications
- Develop infrastructure designs using Civil 3D
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, client requirements and regulations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and existing utility providers
- Liaise with local authorities and manage permit applications and design approvals
- Provide technical support during construction, inspections and testing
- Assist with tender preparation, technical proposals and project documentation
- Manage assigned tasks independently while ensuring quality and timely delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
- Chartered Civil Engineer or actively working towards professional chartership
- 12-15 years of relevant experience in water infrastructure engineering
- Proven experience in water supply, wastewater and/or foul sewer/sanitary sewer drainage design
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering consultancy or project delivery teams
- Middle East project experience and familiarity with local authority requirements are desirable
- Candidates with experience in Bahrain must hold the required CRPEP registration
