Aircraft Structure Technician

Job description

Gulf Air is recruiting an Aircraft Structure Technician for its workshop in Bahrain. The technician carries out aircraft structural tasks by maintaining and modifying the Gulf Air fleet, as designated by the Structure Supervisor, to an acceptable standard of workmanship and in accordance with approved aircraft documents.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the designated workshop supervisor and structure supervisor on routine and non-routine structural tasks
• Repair, inspect, test and modify aircraft structures on the Gulf Air fleet per approved procedures and the requirements of the SRM and AMM
• Ensure all work meets applicable documents such as AMM, SRM, TIM and MOE
• Comply with approved maintenance document instructions and safety precautions to avoid injury or damage to aircraft structures and systems
• Work with the workshop team so that turnaround times are met consistently
• Maintain workshop equipment in a serviceable condition
• Leave the work area tidy and free from loose articles and FOD on completion of tasks
• Assist in positioning, cleaning and performing structural tasks on aircraft components received in the shop
• Adhere to company staff rules, safety rules and wear the proper uniform and safety shoes on duty

Requirements

• A diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or an equivalent qualification
• Minimum three (3) years of working experience in structural repairs on wide-body aircraft
