Senior Account Executive, PR

Job description

Ogilvy is hiring a Senior Account Executive for its PR team in Doha. The role runs mid-size projects for clients, provides media intelligence and insights, and works with cross-functional teams including PR, Internal Communication, Digital Media and the Press Office. The ideal person thinks creatively to solve problems and spots digital and social trends and puts them into practice for clients.

Candidates should preferably be locally available in Qatar.

Responsibilities

• Provide media intelligence, analysis and trend insights, with clear advice on how developments affect clients
• Support crisis preparedness activities, including drills, messaging and monitoring
• Support event content preparation, including researching and vetting speakers, attendees and participants
• Provide research, analysis and recommendations on PR opportunities, collaboration requests, stakeholder inquiries and reputational matters
• Support reputation management by monitoring emerging issues and developing communications responses
• Manage the population and distribution of a client's external newsletter and maintain stakeholder distribution lists
• Conduct forward-looking assessments of trends, topics and speakers to position client events and initiatives
• Support day-to-day operations of the PR department and manage client expectations
• Develop client presentations on project status and deliver timely, effective service
• Write and edit a range of materials that require minimal editing

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of related, client-facing industry experience managing the development or delivery of strong work
• Experience across several accounts, ideally delivering programmes focused on corporate brand
• Ability to deliver on budget and on time
• Strong research, analysis and trend identification skills
• Excellent writing and communication skills; bilingual Arabic and English is favourable
• Preferably locally available in Qatar
