Reservoir Navigation Services/Geosteering Engineer

Job description

Baker Hughes is hiring a Reservoir Navigation Services / Geosteering Engineer in Ahmadi, Kuwait. The engineer runs complex, high-risk well placement jobs and builds geosteering models, supports regional and global Reservoir Navigation Services hub activities, and keeps field operations, geoscience and technical specialists aligned.

The role also reviews pre-job modelling and post-job deliverables for accuracy and compliance with Reservoir Navigation Services guidelines, gives technical presentations and customer meetings, and feeds back on technology performance and operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Run complex, high-risk well placement jobs and build geosteering models
• Support regional and Reservoir Navigation Services global hub activities, aligning field operations, geoscience and technical experts
• Contribute feedback on technology performance and operational challenges
• Review pre-job modelling and post-job deliverables for accuracy and compliance with Reservoir Navigation Services guidelines
• Provide technical presentations, customer meetings and commercial support as required
• Recognize problems and provide solutions to mitigate or eliminate them
• Work with colleagues and customers across businesses and cultures
• Execute other duties as assigned by line management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Petroleum Engineering or Geoscience/earth sciences, or relevant industry experience within the product line
• 5+ years of experience in Reservoir Navigation Services/geosteering
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Knowledge of drilling and LWD tools and measurements
• Excellent proficiency in real-time log analysis
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Good oral and written communication skills
