QA/QC PLC Automation Technician

Job description

Avanceon Automation & Control Qatar, an industrial automation and control system integrator, is looking for a QA/QC PLC Automation Technician in Doha. The role ensures that PLC panel assemblies meet high quality standards by supervising assembly works, performing quality checks and enforcing adherence to design and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise PLC panel assembly activities for compliance with design drawings and technical specifications
• Conduct QA/QC inspections, including wiring accuracy, functionality tests and documentation reviews
• Perform PLC panel power-up, IO checkout and logic/HMI internal testing, and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) internally and with clients
• Collaborate with the design team on red markups and resolve discrepancies in drawings or wiring
• Prepare progress and quality reports highlighting key metrics and improvement areas
• Ensure all work complies with QCS2014 and established safety protocols
• Maintain documentation of all inspections, test procedures and findings

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation or a related technical field
• 7-8 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC roles within automation, PLC panel assembly or system integrator environments
• Strong knowledge of PLC wiring techniques, industrial automation standards and schematic interpretation
• Proficient in reading and analyzing design drawings, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Preferred: valid Qatar visa with NOC and driving license
