Job description
Rebel Force builds reliable, scalable software products for clients around the world and is hiring a Mid-Level Backend Developer who enjoys solving problems, writing clean APIs and growing within a collaborative engineering team. The role is full-time and remote with working hours in the Bangladesh time zone (GMT+6), paying BDT 60,000 to 70,000. Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using NestJS and Node.js (Express)
- Design database schemas and write efficient queries
- Integrate third-party services, payment gateways and external APIs
- Work closely with frontend developers to define and deliver API contracts
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Debug, troubleshoot and improve the performance of existing systems
- Take part in code reviews, sprint planning and technical discussions
- Document APIs and backend processes
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of professional backend development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with NestJS (modules, providers, guards, interceptors, pipes)
- Solid experience with Node.js and Express.js
- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Familiarity with ORMs/ODMs such as TypeORM, Prisma or Mongoose
- Understanding of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, role-based access)
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Good written and verbal English communication
