icddr,b is recruiting a Staff Nurse for the Staff Clinic under Support Services (Adv#144/2026). icddr,b Staff Clinics provide preventive and curative outpatient health care to fixed-term national staff and their entitled dependents. The staff nurse provides nursing care and procedures, records vital signs, delivers counselling and interventions such as vaccines and family planning methods, and coordinates logistics and clinical apparatus for physicians.

The position reports to the Senior Staff Nurse and receives, registers, examines and treats patients coming through the emergency and outpatient department according to physicians' advice. This is a 2-year fixed-term position with a possibility of extension subject to funds and performance. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for written tests and interviews, and icddr,b does not charge any fees at any stage of recruitment.

দায়িত্ব

• Receive sick employees and entitled dependents at the Staff Clinic and record their vital signs
• Enter and update vital signs, vaccination schedules and other data in the system
• Carry out nursing procedures and ECGs of female and emergency patients; identify danger signs and report to physicians
• Enter self-disclosure questionnaire information and raise laboratory test requisitions during medical and antenatal check-ups
• Coordinate logistics and clinical apparatus for physicians during examinations and procedures
• Liaise with external consultants, hospitals and clinics

যোগ্যতা

• Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery or BSc in Nursing with valid BNMC registration
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience
• Strong patient-centred approach with empathy, compassion and respect
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High standard of integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to stay calm and use sound judgment in emergencies
