Wood is recruiting a Senior Project Engineer (Offshore) to join its team in Qatar on a long-term basis. This is a key role in the Wood Doha office, delivering study, FEED, EPC and PMC scopes of work across brownfield and greenfield, onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.

The engineer is responsible for executing project work in line with the project execution plan and Wood or project procedures, keeping safety and quality on target within man-hours, cost and schedule, and may act as proposal, study or project manager on small to medium scopes.

• Champion Wood and client health, safety, environment and quality cultures
• Support the Project and Engineering Managers in delivering assigned project scopes
• Take ownership of assigned scope and deliver it on time to internal and external customers
• Coordinate with lead engineers, disciplines and support departments so tender and project scopes are correctly interpreted and deadlines met
• Manage multidiscipline engineering scope and deliverables across several locations and engineering centres
• Make sure disciplines comply strictly with the contract and scope of work
• Check the quality of project and engineering deliverables before issue and approve key deliverables
• Coordinate key deliverables such as the Project Execution Plan, Basis of Design, subcontract scopes, design reviews and study reports
• Coordinate method statements, deliverable lists, man-hours, CTRs and risk for tenders and projects
• Manage schedule, man-hours and milestones on medium-sized engineering projects
• Chair and minute technical and project review meetings with customers, vendors and subcontractors
• Lead site surveys and data gathering for brownfield scopes and prepare the site survey report
• Flag project and technical risks and close out related actions

যোগ্যতা

• Undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
• Enrolment on the Register of Engineers in the State of Qatar (Grade A or B) is desirable
• Project management certification such as PMP or APM is preferred
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office for documents, presentations, trackers and schedules
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret and follow the contract
• Experience with risk and change management across the full project lifecycle
• Experience on greenfield and brownfield, onshore and offshore projects from Pre-FEED to EPC, with a focus on offshore upstream
• Experience with design and technical reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, P&ID and 3D model reviews
• Experience with Qatar oil and gas customer standards (Shell DEPs, Qatar Civil Defence, Qatar Construction Standards) is an advantage
