Wood is recruiting a Senior Pipelines Engineer to join its team in Qatar, working hands-on with designers and engineers on a major FEED project. The engineer supervises pipeline engineers and designers to turn the Concept Selection Report and Basis for Design into front-end design, project specifications and detailed design, for oil and gas processing, production and export as well as carbon capture, transport and storage.

দায়িত্ব

• Direct and supervise a team of discipline engineers and designers
• Apply the correct standards to all Pre-FEED, FEED and EPC deliverables
• Make sure quality and standards are maintained and cost-effective solutions are adopted
• Make sure work under your control is done safely and in line with HSE policy
• Review vendor design work and take part in HAZOP, HAZID, IPF, reliability studies and technical audits
• Establish the actual capacities of existing field facilities and pipelines to find bottlenecks and scope for optimisation
• Identify where new technology can be applied
• Develop local staff
• Conduct life cycle cost analysis
• Prepare RFQ technical packages for pipeline scopes
• Prepare engineering, construction and material estimates, schedules and resource plans
• Provide engineering for risers, subsea pipelines, landfalls, subsea manifolds, piping and onshore/subsea pipelines
• Work with construction engineers on installation schemes

যোগ্যতা

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited university
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in offshore/onshore oil and gas, petrochemical or marine industry
• At least 5 years in a similar position on international major projects, including 3 years in an engineer's or contractor's organisation
• Experience with ASME, API, ISO, DNV and Shell DEP codes for pipeline design and construction
• Experience with pipeline software (AutoCAD, Microstation, MathCad, CAESAR II, Abaqus, ESRI/GIS) is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
