UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, defend their rights and help them fulfil their potential. Bangladesh continues to host over 1.2 million Rohingya refugees from Myanmar in 33 camps in Cox's Bazar District and on Bhasan Char, 51 per cent of them children, and UNICEF has established partnerships with local, national and international NGOs and government departments to deliver multi-sectoral services. UNICEF's Cox's Bazar office has onboarded a third-party monitoring (TPM) services provider, and seeks to hire a Planning & Monitoring Officer (post 00138680, NO-2, temporary appointment of 364 days, open to nationals of Bangladesh) to enhance coordination between the Programme Sections and the Third-Party Monitors and to strengthen quality assurance of programme monitoring. • Planning and collaboration with programme sections on humanitarian programme performance
• Humanitarian programme performance and results monitoring
• Programme implementation monitoring and results monitoring, including coordination with Third-Party Monitors (TPMs) and quality assurance of monitoring data
• Planning and monitoring capacity building
• Coordination and networking with partners and stakeholders
• Prepare analytical reports and presentations that turn data from multiple sources into insights for programme performance monitoring and decision-making

যোগ্যতা

• First-level university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in social sciences, social work, statistics, development studies or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in programme implementation monitoring, reporting and performance management in development and/or humanitarian contexts; experience within the UN system is highly desirable
• Strong analytical, report-writing and presentation skills
• English proficient/fluent is required
• Desirable: knowledge of another official UN language or a local language
• Desirable: experience in humanitarian and emergency programming, including emergency preparedness and response
• Desirable: advanced MS Excel and SPSS, with working knowledge of Power BI for data management, analysis, visualisation and reporting
• Desirable: expertise in quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods approaches, data quality assurance and statistical analysis
• Desirable: experience in contract management and coordination with third-party monitors
