The University of Rajshahi invites applications from Bangladeshi citizens, on the prescribed form, for 2 (two) permanent posts of Assistant Professor / Lecturer in the Department of Physics (Circular No. 01/2026, dated 15 October 2026). Detailed qualifications, experience, application fee and application procedure are published on the university recruitment portal job.ru.ac.bd. After completing the online application, 6 sets of the application must be submitted to the Registrar's office by 4:00 PM on 4 November 2026. The recruitment board will select through document scrutiny and interview, and may arrange a demonstration or written test before the interview. Government rules apply for children of freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters. Serving candidates must apply through proper channel. Incomplete applications are rejected outright. Pay follows the National Pay Scale 2026.

• Lecturer: 4-year Bachelor (Hons) plus Master's degree in Physics with CGPA of at least 3.50 out of 4.00 in both examinations (First class for traditional-system results)
• Lecturer: only candidates placed first to seventh in the merit list in the Bachelor and Master's results may apply (this condition is relaxed for a 1st-position holder in either exam, with CGPA of at least 3.50 in both)
• Lecturer: candidates who completed their Master's in the thesis group are given priority
• Lecturer: at least one year of active teaching or recognised research experience at a public university level or one year of post-doctoral experience
• Lecturer: at least 3 publications in peer-reviewed Clarivate/impact-factor or Q1-Q4 ranked journals, with at least 2 as First/Corresponding author
• Assistant Professor: 4-year Bachelor (Hons) and Master's degree in Physics with CGPA of at least 3.50 out of 4.00 in both examinations, and a PhD degree in the relevant subject
• Applicants with foreign degrees must have completed at least 5 years of combined academic programmes
• Bangladeshi citizens only; serving employees must apply through proper channel
