Wood is recruiting a Lead Piping Engineer to join a project team in Qatar on a long-term basis. The engineer defines and approves technical scopes, executes assigned work, provides technical expertise and contributes to business growth, and may supervise teams or act as a technical specialist on brownfield and greenfield, onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.

The Lead Piping Engineer handles complex assignments, assesses the soundness of proposed designs, and may serve as Lead Engineer or project Technical Authority.

দায়িত্ব

• Supervise and take part in complex engineering tasks
• Direct studies and investigations and recommend practical use of the results
• Help resolve conflicting design requirements, unsuitable standard materials and complex coordination issues
• Coordinate implementation of design engineering solutions
• Review project documentation for accuracy
• Take part in incident investigations as required
• Manage key stakeholders and organise and lead design reviews
• Give expert advice on design processes and construction methods
• Act as Technical Authority when appointed
• Carry out technical bid evaluation for subcontracted scopes and oversee vendors
• Contribute to business development, bids and proposals
• Supervise technical specialists and engineers on complex tasks

যোগ্যতা

• BSc or university degree in Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience in brownfield oil and gas mechanical piping design and engineering, including at least 5 years of construction and commissioning
• Experience with Shell DEPs is a plus
• Professional knowledge of the relevant regulatory framework and legislation
• Ability to supervise, manage, motivate and mentor technical professionals
• Ability to manage project scope, budget and schedule
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to diagnose and solve significant and unusual problems
