Hitachi Energy is hiring a Category Specialist for its business in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role implements and follows supply chain management strategies and processes to ensure material availability, delivery performance and cost competitiveness, leads the procurement process for defined material groups, and manages supplier performance to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.

দায়িত্ব

• Support the implementation, maintenance and compliance of supply chain practices such as strategic sourcing, risk management and supply base management.
• Design and implement plans for local sources to reach business targets, and support regional and global sourcing initiatives.
• Monitor performance against global supply chain KPIs.
• Identify and select suppliers and materials, and develop sourcing concepts including number and type of suppliers, make-or-buy comparisons and cost scenarios.
• Work with Category Managers and Supplier Quality Engineers on supplier selection and identify the need for new supplier development.
• Manage contracts, recommend frame agreements to management and adapt the corporate contractual framework to local business needs.
• Support bid and proposal teams with market information.
• Oversee supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve performance issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning and fulfillment to secure material availability in production.

যোগ্যতা

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in engineering, purchasing and supply chain management.
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and flexibility to travel up to 15%.
• Preferred: CPSM or PMP certification, SAP experience, document management systems, Power BI and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
