Job description

Binary Quest Software is hiring a System Administrator in Dhaka (Malibagh, Research & Development, on-site). You will keep the company's servers, Kubernetes cluster, and databases running for its own products and for clients in Bangladesh, Australia, and New Zealand. The role reports to the CTO. Stack: Ubuntu Linux, Proxmox, Kubernetes / RKE2, PostgreSQL, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus. Full-time, on-site in Dhaka. Base salary is Tk 40,000 - 60,000 a month. Recruitment process: CV and the application form, then a 30-minute screening call, technical interview with the CTO, practical task, two references, then an offer. Binary Quest replies within five working days. Required with your CV: one server or cluster you have managed, and the hardest problem you fixed on it.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Ubuntu servers and Proxmox virtual machines, including storage, DNS, and firewalls
• Operate the RKE2 cluster through Rancher and deploy applications with Helm and kubectl
• Install, secure, and back up PostgreSQL and SQL Server, including CloudNativePG
• Monitor with Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus, and respond to alerts
• Keep runbooks current and write a short note on each production incident

Requirements

• 2-4 years administering Linux servers in production
• Command line, Bash, Docker, and working Kubernetes knowledge
• PostgreSQL or another relational database: install, backup, and restore
• TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and a virtualization platform
• Dhaka, on-site, with clear written English
• Nice to have: Rancher, RKE2, Helm, or Harbor; GitHub Actions, Ansible, or AWS basics; Grafana, Loki, or Prometheus; pfSense or MikroTik, GPU servers, or RHCSA / LFCS / CKA
