Supply Teacher - Primary School

Job description

British School Muscat is always looking to appoint outstanding Supply Teachers to work with its highly engaged students, staff and parents in the Primary School on a temporary, ad-hoc basis. You will need to show a genuine commitment to creating an inspiring and stimulating, child-centred learning environment. Start date: as required.

All applicants must be qualified teachers with a UK or internationally recognised equivalent qualification. Responsibilities

• Deliver the curriculum relevant to the age and ability group, differentiating for students' prior knowledge and needs
• Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating classroom in line with the school's behaviour policy
• Support students with special educational needs, EAL and more able learners, working with SEND and pastoral specialists
• Give students regular oral and written feedback and monitor their progress
• Carry out supervision duties as directed and take responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of students
• Work collaboratively with Year Leaders, teaching and inclusion assistants and colleagues

Requirements

• Qualified teacher with a UK or internationally recognised equivalent teaching qualification
• Genuine commitment to an inspiring, child-centred learning environment
• Commitment to safeguarding; appointment subject to satisfactory references and police safeguarding clearance
