SIEM Engineer

Job description

Penough Ltd. is looking for a technically strong and analytical SIEM Engineer to join its cybersecurity team. The working environment is highly technical and focused on solving real-world security challenges. The company seeks someone who goes beyond routine monitoring: someone who can investigate complex incidents, troubleshoot deeply, engineer effective detections, and think outside the box. Employment: full-time, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Salary: BDT 70,000-80,000 per month. The company values genuine technical competence, practical problem-solving, and demonstrated skills over certifications alone.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and optimize SIEM platforms and log pipelines.
• Develop and tune detection rules, correlation logic, and security use cases.
• Investigate security alerts, conduct threat hunting, and support incident response.
• Troubleshoot complex security issues across endpoints, networks, and operating systems.
• Improve detection accuracy, automate workflows, and integrate security tools.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of relevant hands-on experience preferred.
• Practical expertise in Wazuh, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic Security, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux logs, networking, authentication, and attack techniques.
• Excellent incident-handling skills, deep technical troubleshooting ability, and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong analytical thinking, independent investigation skills, and out-of-the-box problem-solving.
• Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon will be a significant advantage.
• Scripting and security automation skills are desirable.
