Job description

The Housing & Building Research Institute (HBRI), 120/3 Darus-Salam, Mirpur, Dhaka, under the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, is recruiting for 7 categories of vacant posts (Grade 10 to Grade 20) on a temporary basis through direct recruitment, as per its circular dated 11 October 2026. This notice is for 3 posts of Security Guard (Grade 20, National Pay Scale 2026: Tk 20,000 - 48,400). Applications are accepted online only at http://hbri.teletalk.com.bd from 14 October 2026 (9:00 AM) to 15 November 2026 (5:00 PM); applications by any other means are not accepted. Only permanent citizens of Bangladesh may apply, and candidates from all districts are eligible for this post. Age must be 18 to 32 years (age limits and relaxations for freedom-fighter quota and retired armed-forces members follow the circular; affidavits are not accepted as proof of age). Government, semi-government and autonomous employees must apply with permission of their employer and bring a No-Objection letter to the oral test. A written, practical (where applicable) and oral test will be held according to the HBRI recruitment rules, and the candidate must keep the Applicant's Copy printout. Candidates who give false information or forged documents are disqualified at any stage, and the authority may change the number of posts or cancel the circular. No TA/DA is paid for the test. Fee: Tk 50 plus Teletalk service charge Tk 6 (Tk 56 in total) (paid by two SMS from a Teletalk prepaid number within 72 hours of submitting the form; the application is not valid until the fee is paid). Note: applying costs the candidate this SMS fee through the Teletalk recruitment portal.

Requirements

• Class 8 pass
• Retired members of the armed forces (Defence) are given preference
• Age 18 to 32 years (as per the circular's age rules)
• Permanent citizen of Bangladesh; candidates from all districts may apply
• Government, semi-government and autonomous employees must apply with employer permission and bring a No-Objection letter to the oral test
• Must not have been convicted of a moral-turpitude offence or be married to a non-citizen
• Original and attested copies of certificates, citizenship certificate, national ID/birth certificate and a character certificate are required at the oral test
