Project Development Engineer, Security Systems

Job description

Johnson Controls is hiring a Project Development Engineer for its Security & ELV Systems aftermarket business in Dubai. The role reports to the Pre Sales Lead and supports the sales team with application-specific jobs, product information and estimation.

You will design security solutions covering access control, CCTV and other ELV systems, carry out site surveys, involve subcontractors and vendors, and join sales presentations alongside the sales engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design security system solutions involving access control, CCTV and other ELV systems
• Carry out site surveys for the assigned territory and involve subcontractors and vendors as required
• Attend sales presentations with the sales engineers
• Interact with end users by phone or in person to gather specifications and resolve problems
• Lead peer-to-peer meetings with Operations, Procurement, commercial and other stakeholders so project scope, objectives, timeline and customer requirements are met
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and vendors

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or a similar field
• Minimum 4-5 years of UAE experience in estimation of security and ELV systems
• Negotiation skills and vendor management
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Visio and AutoCAD
• Market knowledge of different security brands and suppliers
• Understanding of the applied / aftermarket business
• Fluent English
• Valid UAE driving license
• Preferred: IT/networking knowledge, security product certifications, knowledge of JCI/Tyco security systems, MCC / SIRA certification
