Eastern University invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Librarian (Office of the Library), who will lead and enhance the library's services in support of the university's academic mission. Since 2003 the university has developed a modern, fully automated library powered by the KOHA Integrated Library System, offering online borrowing, catalogue searching, material reservation, full-text e-resources and remote access, with more than 36,470 online journals and 22,200 e-books from 10 major international databases, DDC classification and round-the-clock CCTV. Requirements

• Ph.D., M.Phil. or Master's in Library Science from a recognized university
• 18 years of experience, of which 10 years as Deputy Librarian or an equivalent position
• Preference for candidates at Professor level who hold a Ph.D. and have experience as a Librarian at public or private universities
• Computer literacy is essential for the position
• Salary is negotiable for highly deserving candidates; experience requirements may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified candidates
